Da Blog

I started reading Guy Kawasaki’s book, Reality Check, while I was waiting in the ridiculous line for court yesterday. I couldn’t help but skip to the marketing and blogging sections first (though I went back and started from the beginning). He has some great tips, wonderfully written so that it doesn’t feel like another one of my marketing or business textbooks.

In the blog section, Kawasaki mentions that a successful blog is NOT a diary. He kinda discourages exactly the kind of blog that I have going now- a bunch of my random thoughts and pictures- in favor of a blog with an organized structure and somewhat informative theme.

Well, I don’t know about you, but I kinda like my random thoughts!! I’m not ready to part with my online-diary, and I’m not sure I have quite enough experience or time to gather interesting data on the industry to share with you all. But Kawasaki’s point lead to me want to get more serious about my blog, get organized, and maybe have somewhat of a focus- even if it’s just a focus of my random thoughts.

What do you guys think: Keep it as it is? Or more industry posts mixed with my thoughts? hmmm…..

PS. yes, my nails look like shit, but I have a mani/pedi at 5 pm tonight. so it’sallgooood :)

PPS. does the font on my blog look really light and hard to see to you guys? On my computer it doesn’t, on others it does. tell me!
