”I like the person that you are, but I’m in love with the person that you have potential to be”

If you only like the person you’re with…. and you’re in love with all the things that they could be (meaning what you want them to be) shouldn’t you just go and find someone who already has all those things? Or are you supposed to fake “love” them, as you secretly wait and hope the person you “like” works to live up to their ambitions and your expectations?
I’m just sayin’. Because aren’t you supposed to love someone for all that they are, just as they are? That’s real love, isn’t it? Unconditional.
